Megasonorus is a semi-progressive metal band based in the New Orleans area. Songs may shift between soft and melodic to heavy chugging, and may include elements from various genres such as, classical, blues, or jazz. Band influences range widely, but top of the list are Dream Theater, Metallica, Vanden Plas, The Doors, and Pink Floyd to name a few.
This venture represents a lifelong desire to create great music and share it with anyone who wants to listen. These songs have been inspired by personal experiences, historical or current events, personal views and beliefs, and a host of other thoughts about life and the world we all call home. There is no limit to inspiration, and you never know what may spark the creative process. These songs aren’t written to be popular (though hopefully someone out there will relate to and enjoy them), but as expressions of thought, belief, and emotion. The greatest hope is that this music might make people think and possibly inspire the next generation to engage their own creativity.
